UniCafe Portaali, the place to meet on the city centre campus, opens its doors on 16 February

UniCafe Portaali will open on 16 February in renovated premises at the address Vuorikatu 3.

Portaali will be open from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Lunch is served from 10:45 am to 1:30 pm. Porridge and other breakfast options are served from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Come for breakfast and enjoy the porridge bar, with a different type of porridge every morning and your choice of accompaniments, including berries, muesli and nuts.

Portaali is in the corridor that connects the Porthania building and Learning Centre Aleksandria. The corridor is on floor 3 of the Porthania building and floor 1 of Learning Centre Aleksandria.

For lunch, Portaali offers baked potatoes, soup and a salad bar every day. The selection also includes lighter meals and treats, such as sandwiches, pastries, and snacks, as well as coffee, tea, and soft drinks.

“As the renovation of the Porthania building approaches, we wanted to ensure that the city centre campus has good services to offer. Portaali’s selection was designed for customers looking for a light lunch or something for their coffee break. The connecting corridor to the Porthania building makes Portaali a convenient stop for students and university staff in both the Porthania building and Learning Centre Aleksandria. I hope the restaurant becomes a natural meeting place for everyone on campus,” says Anne Immonen, Director of Ylva’s restaurant business.

All lunches at UniCafe Portaali can be purchased at student prices and are also available at staff prices.

All of UniCafe’s lunch menus can be found on the mobile app menu.unicafe.fi and website www.unicafe.fi/en
