The Baltic Sea on your plate

Every food choice is connected to the water in many ways. The way food is produced and what we eat influence how much nutrients end up in the water

Everyone who takes the quiz will be entered into a prize draw. Two lucky winners will each receive a week-long lunch package at UniCafe (5 lunch vouchers). The campaign will run from 24 August to 4 September 2026.

63% of the eutrophication potential of our restaurant business is in the Baltic Sea drainage basin. In 2024 and 2025, we donated a total of €11,000 to the John Nurminen Foundation’s work on the Baltic Sea. Our donations help to reduce nutrient loading in the Baltic Sea by means such as soil stabilisation with gypsum and the nutrient cycle.
